逾300台灣船員家庭陷困境 勞動部還幫中鋼護航？
部長何佩珊若不解決 上百船員將「直接進勞動部求助」
準國營中鋼集團旗下百分之百持股的子公司－中鋼運通公司，七月起違法中斷其所聘僱的台灣船員勞、健保，長時間拖延遲遲不肯再次派任在岸的台灣船員上船工作、變相逼退台灣船員，導致目前已超過300個台灣船員及其家庭生活陷入困境。
中鋼運通工會在七月上百名會員（台灣船員）遭到資方違法中斷勞、健保時，即立刻向勞動部檢舉及反應，表示因中鋼運通與船員間的勞動契約應屬於不定期契約，資方片面斷保已明確違法。然而，勞動部竟未因此幫船員主持公道，要求資方不得斷保，勞動部勞保局反而在七月底回覆中運公司公文中，間接接受了中鋼運通對船員斷保的事實，而將認定勞動契約與否及其性質等這些本來就應該是勞動部的權責，推卸得一乾二淨，敷衍地要工會與船員自己去找地方勞工主管機關或法院！此舉無異於幫著違法欺壓台灣船員的中鋼集團及中鋼運通公司護航、解套！
如今，距離中鋼運通公司違法將所雇用船員斷保已經整整超過一百天，工會與失去工作權的台灣船員及家屬們忍無可忍，明（9）日上午，決定再次大規模動員北上勞動部，要求部長何佩珊必須出面承諾解決，針對資方違法行徑立即要求限期改善，讓遭違法逼退的台灣船員得以重新回到上船工作，保障其家庭生計。
中鋼運通工會強調：倘若明天勞動部不給船員一個明確的交代，承諾限期內協助遭違法逼退的船員得以回到船上工作、遭到資方違法中斷投保的勞健保得以重新恢復，失去工作權的上百名船員、家屬與聲援的各友會，將「直接進入」勞動部內部長辦公室找何佩珊部長「當面陳情」，在沒得到勞動部實質保證前，工會及船員絕會不輕易離開，更不排除後天（10日）上午帶著失業的船員與家屬們，前往總統府前廣場的國慶大會上，直接向賴清德總統陳情、求救！

If Minister Ho Pei-shan fails to act, hundreds of seafarers will flood the Ministry of Labor to demand justice.
Since July, China Steel Express (CSE), a subsidiary of the state-owned Steel Group (CSG), has unlawfully terminated labor and health insurance for Taiwanese seafarers, delaying reassignment and plunging over 300 families into financial hardship.
When CSE cut insurance for over 100 seafarers, the CSE Union immediately appealed to the Ministry of Labor, arguing the dismissals violated indefinite labor contracts. The Ministry, however, took no action. Instead, in late July, the Bureau of Labor Insurance indirectly upheld CSE's actions, shifting responsibility back to unions and seafarers, telling them to seek local labor authorities or courts. This response effectively shielded CSG and CSE from accountability.
Now, after 100 days of inaction, the union, affected seafarers, and their families are at their limit. Tomorrow morning (the 9th), they will stage a mass protest at the Ministry of Labor, demanding Minister Ho Pei-shan intervene immediately to reinstate dismissed seafarers and secure their families’ livelihoods.
The union warns that if the Ministry refuses to commit to resolving this crisis, hundreds of seafarers, families, and supporters will escalate their petition directly in Ho Pei-shan’s office. They won't leave without firm assurances—and may bring their demands to President Lai Ching-te at the National Day event on the 10th.
